9/13/2019 I Have Very Fair Skin, What Color Of Mac Studio Fix Powder Would Be Best For White Freckly Skin?Read Now
My Experience with MAC Pro Longwear Pressed Powder: The pressed powder comes in the usual MAC compact packaging – black case with a mirror and a leatherette puff. The puff is of very good quality and picks and blends in the powder nicely on to the skin. I have it in the shade “Medium Tan,” which is an exact match for my skin tone. The powder is pressed firmly into the compact and there are no powder particles flying all around when you open the compact, hence the compact remains mess free and neat. There’s no fragrance to the product, so it will go well with sensitive skin types.
The texture of the powder is smooth and lightweight. It applies beautifully without highlighting the dry patches on the skin.
Long-wearing, colour-true, non-caking, non-streaking, non-settling/creasing, non-fading – all for 12 hours. Available in a wide range of colours. For all skin types, especially oily skin. Apply to a well moisturized and prepped skin with a fluffy brush like the 129SH or 109 for lighter coverage. Apply with the sponge applicator for more coverage. Yeah, I'm asian & have light tan skin with yellow undertones but my neck is really light so I use #117. Just go into a Sephora & they'll match you up with a color that matches you. Since you prefer powder you can try their Mat Duo (nice if your skin is oily) or Mac's Studio Fix probably something in the NC30-40s.
The coverage that it imparts is sheer to medium, but adding on layers would make your face appear cakey. For a natural finish, lightly dab over your foundation and go over a second time, that’s it.
Did I tell you that the coverage it provides is sheer to medium, completely matte without making the face look cakey or heavily made up. Don’t expect heavy coverage from this, it’s just a pressed powder after all, but it does provide medium coverage that’s good for a natural finish.
I would say a good concealer (not necessarily MAC pro concealer) plus this powder is enough as daily face makeup for me. It brightens up dull skin with just a swipe. It’s perfect also to wear to gym, where you would not want to go with a lot of stuff on your face, but wouldn’t mind a hint of brightness either. It does not sweat out that easily in gym, especially if the climate is a bit cool outside. Though it claims to be wet-proof, I should tell you that it does not stubbornly cling on to the skin when you try to remove it.
I can take it easily down with a swipe of on a cotton pad. Later on, the toner routine does not show much residue.
So, I am happy that though it’s a long wear product, it comes off without any issues. The finish is matte, so I doubt if some of you out there with dry skin would like it on your skin, nevertheless, do check it out the MAC counter.

Brightens up dull skin. I didn’t see talc in the ingredients list.
Cons of MAC Pro Longwear Pressed Powder:. Adding more layers can make it a bit cakey. The 12-hour staying power claim. IMBB Rating: 4.8/5 Would I Recommend MAC Pro Longwear Pressed Powder Review?

Foundation is one of the most important aspect of makeup. If your base is right, you can even get away with average products but if its wrong then it does not matter how good you are with the other aspects. It is bound to look bad.
My struggle to find my perfect match is not unknown to you. The first time I found a perfect match, it was. In the mean while, I was still searching for that one foundation that would make me want to stick to it forever. While Inglot in itself is a great base, it needs extra concealing for acne marks and under eyes. With my acne woes this last year, I was not really happy with sheer to medium coverage. And finally after 2 years of trial and error, I have found that perfect base which can be sheered down to give a medium coverage and at the same time can be layered to give you full coverage without looking cake-y.
Yes I am talking about MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC35. ? MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC35: Swatch, Review And FOTD. It does not rub off or transfer once you set it with powder and stays on for a full day. I have tested it exactly for 12 hours and it kept me fresh till the end. I have normal-combination skin and my T-zone started getting oily only at the 7th hour.
I had dusted some loose white powder to see how long its going to control oil without the help of a compact and BTW, I was not even in an air conditioned room. The best part about this foundation is with the wear time it kind of gets more pretty with the finish. Manu Hey Jyo, I am in the same boat that you were in a while ago. The diff is, I’m only a college student but I have a lot of pigmentation all over my face. I never know which foundation to try because there’re so many diff colours on my face. I’m a mac novice so my question is, can you just walk into any mac store and get the mua’s to match you or do you need to fix an appointment?
Also, is this foundation water/sweat proof cos the last time I tried a kryolan foundation at the store, it melted right off in Mumbai humidity. Please help me.I’m desperate for flawless skin ?. For pigmentation you should try a good concealer to get them even and then try a foundi on it. But you can always give studio fix a try and see if it suits you.
You can just walk into a store and let them koow what you are looking for and your skin type. The SA will suggest you one foundi according to your need. They usually get two close shades to try on a customer, but if you are not satisfied with them ask for a lighter or darker one that you think will look better. ? And ohh this does not melt or transfer.
It stays fresh for a long long time but you have to set it with a powder to make it last longer. Hope that answered your query. If you need more help let me know.
